Goodbyes, Sailing, and Closing Thoughts

Currently while writing this last blog post, I am on the Mercy Ship travelling from Cameroon to Dakar, Senegal. From Dakar we will then travel to Las Palmas, Spain. I am working in the dining room, which means lots of dishes and talking with people who come through for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I am also part of the emergency team, and therefore do drills and respond in case of an emergency. But I also have a lot of time to just relax, think, and spend time with friends. Some things we have done so far, are sitting outside and watching the ocean, reading, movie nights, sleeping outside on the deck in a hammock, a mocktail party with the captain, karaoke, an escape room, and other ship wide games. The crew does a good job at keeping us entertained J   Emergency team However, I am using this time mostly to process my time in Cameroon. It is a strange feeling to be on the same ship that you lived on for the past 9 months, yet no longer in the same surrounding place with t
