Updates!
WARD UPDATES: I can’t believe my time with Mercy Ships for this year is slowly coming to an end!! Our eye surgeries have stopped, dental is wrapping up and surgeries on the ship will soon stop as well. We will just be looking after our postop patients and those that have returned with complications. Thinking about the end has been very difficult. The relationships you have built with the patients, day crew and fellow crew mates are very special and it is very hard to leave not knowing when you will see them again. Many people have told me here that they are going to kidnap me and not let me leave. So if I disappear you know what has happened ;) For a couple more weeks we are still doing surgery. These surgeries include hernias and lipomas. Other wards are still doing tumor removals and cleft lips and palates. As there are less and less patients, I also take on other tasks whenever I am needed. This includes cleaning, scanning patient’s charts, or other special projects as w
